Under Reconfiguration

This series comprises three large porcelain heads, developed from a single recurring form. Unlike other works in this form, the process here involves cutting and reassembling the cast pieces by shifting, rotating, and slightly misaligning their parts.

Rather than depicting physical movement, the works explore inner movement, a process of transformation, hesitation, and reconfiguration of identity. The forms appear suspended in a state of becoming, marked by cuts, shifts, and subtle distortions.

The works are made in porcelain, glazed, and fired in a gas-reduction atmosphere. The material retains both structural precision and a certain instability, emphasizing the tension between control and disruption.

Movement is understood here as a continuous inner negotiation between stability and change, control and vulnerability. The fragmentation of the form becomes an active element, suggesting transition and the passage from one state to another.
